Michelle T. Cirunay, a Ph.D. Physics student from the De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila and one of the graduate students under the Complex Systems Group of Dr. Rene C. Batac, has been chosen as one of the student participants in the 2021 Complex Networks Winter Workshop (CNWW), organized by the University of Vermont Complex Systems Center and the Sentinel North Program of the Universite Laval.

She joins a select group of international graduate students, young academics, and industry practitioners who will undergo training and research on the various aspects and applications of complex network science. This year's CNWW is done virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
