Dr. Antenorcruz wins best presentation in ICAPM 2026
Dr. Jude Maria V. Antenorcruz, a research faculty of the Complex Systems Group, received the best oral presentation award during the parallel sessions of the 2026 16th International Conference on Applied Physics and Mathematics (ICAPM) held on April 10-12, 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
In this research work, he used a discrete Fick’s model of diffusion to model the railway network of Greater Manila, Philippines. The work shows left-skewed distributions of equilibrium times for various random initial conditions. The paper is part of a larger research project, and co-authored by Dr. Rene C. Batac and students Enrico Miguel Posadas and Ramon Sarigumba.
The ICAPM is an annual gathering of academic and industrial communities to discuss various problems and solutions related to the different branches of Applied Physics and Mathematics. The Complex Systems Group has been joining the conference since 2019, reporting our results in urban science, econophysics, and other complex systems.
Congratulations, Dr. Antenorcruz!
