Dynamics and Organization of Complex Systems
The Complex Systems Group of Dr. Rene C. Batac
The Complex Systems Group of Dr. Rene C. Batac is a working group under the Department of Physics, College of Science, De La Salle University - Manila. The Group is interested in the temporal dynamics and the spatial or structural organization of complex systems in nature, in human society, and in the virtual world. The group employs the tools of physics, mathematics, and computational sciences to understand the emergence of complex behavior.
GROUP HEAD
Dr. Rene C. Batac is an Associate Professor of Physics from the Department of Physics, College of Science, De La Salle University (DLSU) - Manila. He is handling graduate and undergraduate courses for science, engineering, and education majors in the University. He also leads a research team on Complex Systems, conducting research on the dynamics and organization of complex systems in nature and society. His works span a broad range of topics, including natural hazards (such as landslides and earthquakes), economic and social interactions, and urban growth, among others.
